A workshop on the accreditation of the Doctorate in Dentistry within the national framework of qualifications

​The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office at the university organized a workshop for the faculty members of the Dental Faculty on the placement of the Dentistry program within the national framework of qualifications. Dr. Thaer Al-Qadomi, the office director, explained the concept of accreditation and its importance in maintaining the learning outcomes for any academic program. He elaborated on the accreditation levels, starting from kindergarten and extending to a Ph.D. degree. Dr. Al-Qadomi also outlined the objectives of the placement framework in terms of organizing qualifications issued by higher education institutions and ensuring alignment of learning outcomes across educational institutions, regardless of the institution.

A comprehensive explanation was provided about the steps to initiate the qualification placement process. The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Faulty, the Head of the Department of Basic Dental Sciences, and all faculty members at the college.

Iraqi Delegation Visit

An Iraqi academic delegation, led by the Iraqi Cultural Attache, visited the Faculty of Dentistry at the university along with the Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, Dr. Haitham Abu Khadijah, and the University President, Prof. Sameeha Al-Jarrah. They were received by the Dean of the College, Prof. Abed Al-Hadi Hamasha. 

During the visit, they toured the faculty, familiarizing themselves with the laboratories and classrooms. Dr. Abd Alwahab Al-Zwiri, Department Chairman, provided an overview of the modern facilities of the faculty, aligning with the highest local and international quality standards. He highlighted how these facilities are closely linked to the precise implementation of the curriculum, considering learning outcomes and maintaining the graduates' competence. The delegation expressed admiration for the modern and advanced facilities and buildings they observed, reflecting the vision and goals of the Applied Sciences Private University.

Meeting of Faculty Members with the Dean of Scientific Research & Graduate Studies

​As part of the university's activities to orient new faculty members, the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies held a meeting with the new faculty members at the Faculty of Dentistry and other health colleges. The purpose of the meeting was to clarify the working mechanisms of the deanship and the services it provides to researchers. The Dean also explained the promotion instructions for faculty members at the university, along with guidelines for rewards and incentives for scientific publications.

The Dean of Research and Graduate Studies emphasized the importance of international collaboration in research, focusing on publishing in reputable international journals. In the concluding remarks, the Dean underscored the significance of university-supported research projects and the registration of patents, which positively contribute to the university's reputation and the achievements of its graduates.

New Students Welcome Reception Ceremony at the Dental Faculty

At the reception ceremony for new students at the Dental Faculty, Dr. Haitham Abu Khadijah, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, along with the University President, Prof. Sameha Jarrar, and the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Abed Al-Hadi Hamasha, and the Head of the Dentistry Department, Dr. AbdAlwahab Al Zwiri, met with the freshman students.

The meeting began with the recitation of Soret Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs in Gaza. Subsequently, there was an introduction to the students, acquainting them with the faculty. The Dean of the College delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the significance of the role of the Dental College in the university and society. Students were encouraged to excel in their studies and participate in various extracurricular activities to enhance their skills and personal development.

Furthermore, the discussion touched upon the teaching methods employed in the faculty. The session concluded with opening the floor for discussion and addressing various inquiries from students. Dr. Haitham Abu Khadijah engaged with the students, responding to their queries.
