In an international achievement that reflects the academic and creative excellence of students from the Faculty of Art and Design at Applied Science Private University, three female students from the Department of Design and Visual Communication earned a distinguished spot among the top 100 posters in the “International Juried Poster Festival Exhibition for Bandırma Bird Paradise,” recently held in the city of Bandırma, Turkey. The festival featured approximately 300 poster designs from various countries around the world.
This participation was part of the “Portfolio Design and Competitions” course, under the supervision of Lecturer Enas Daradkeh. The works of students Razan Al-Banna, Heba Taftanazi, and Dania Al-Heresh were selected among the elite entries, alongside renowned international designers such as Goyo Rodríguez, Erwan Harnoko, and Orhan Erdanlı.
The festival’s opening ceremony was attended by prominent official and academic figures, including Mr. Niyazi Yeloglu, Deputy Mayor of Bandırma, and Professor Dr. Mehmet Emin Erçakar, Vice President of Bandırma University. Both emphasized the importance of integrating art into environmental awareness and transforming public spaces into platforms for meaningful artistic expression.
The Faculty of Art and Design praised this achievement, affirming that such excellence would not have been possible without the continuous support of Applied Science Private University, which remains committed to empowering its students and providing a stimulating learning environment that inspires success.
