The Department of Design and Visual Communication at the Faculty of Arts and Design organized a specialized workshop titled “Fundamentals and Techniques of Packaging,” presented by Mr. Yousef Abu Atieh and Ms. Sarah Hudeib from the National Center for Packaging. The workshop was attended by a large number of students from the department and aimed to introduce participants to the importance of design in the packaging sector and its role in maintaining product quality and enhancing market presence.
The workshop covered several key areas, including:
- An overview of the packaging sector in Jordan
- A review of the types of materials used and the latest technologies in the industry
- The steps for designing aesthetically and functionally effective packaging
- The importance of sustainability and innovation in packaging design
Students also had the opportunity to discuss real-life projects and case studies carried out by the National Center, adding valuable practical insight to the experience. This workshop is part of a series of activities aimed at strengthening collaboration between the faculty and national specialized institutions, and better preparing students for the job market.
