International designer Hanaa Sadiq gave a lecture at the College of Arts and Design, on Wednesday 12/27/2023. Under the title of Arab and international fashion trends. Designer Sadiq discussed the approach that promising fashion designers should follow to create brands with an Arab and local flair. Reviewing the beginnings of this profession in Iraq, Egypt, and Palestine, where the first fabric and dye industries were. Sadiq revealed various aspects of her career, hoping to encourage novice designers to adopt a design approach inspired by the local and Arab environment.
Designer Hanaa Sadiq is considered one of the Arab designers whose fame has reached international levels while preserving the Arab identity. The designer has won many awards and accolades and has held many international exhibitions in cities considered capitals of style. Sadiq’s lecture came as part of the Highlights in Design 6 event organized annually by the College of Arts and Design to develop the skills of its students and enrich their knowledge in various fields to support their educational journey.
It is worth noting that the College of Arts and Design began receiving students who wish to study fashion and accessories design at the beginning of this academic year.
