20-1-2025

Applied Science Private University (ASU), represented by the Faculty of Art and Design, has signed two cooperation agreements to enhance professional and artistic partnerships. The first agreement was signed with the National Center for Packaging (JoPack), a Jordanian organization established in 2016 as a creative arm of the Chambers of Industry. The second agreement was signed with the Jordanian Plastic Artists Association.

The agreements were signed by the President of the University, Prof. Samiha Jarrah, alongside the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JoPack, Mr. Issa Abdel Hadi, and the President of the Jordanian Plastic Artists Association, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Khatib. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Emad Al Fahmawee, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, along with several faculty members, including Dr. Mustafa Othman, Lec. Ahmad Issa, and Dr. Safa Jahameh.

The agreement with JoPack aims to enable students to apply theoretical knowledge in a professional environment through workshops and exhibitions focused on packaging design. It also seeks to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions with the support of faculty expertise.

Meanwhile, the agreement with the Jordanian Plastic Artists Association seeks to enrich the artistic scene in Jordan by fostering academic and artistic exchange, organizing joint exhibitions and workshops, and providing opportunities for students and young artists to participate in cultural and artistic events.

This collaboration aligns with the university's vision to strengthen partnerships with local and international institutions, contributing to the development of education and training while enhancing students' skills across various fields.
