The Faculty of Art and Design, in collaboration with the Office of International Relations, hosted a lecture for students titled "Islamic Arts and Architecture Through the Ages". Dr. Mahmut Sami Kanbaş, Assistant Professor of Islamic History and Arts at Marmara University, Turkey, gave the lecture.
The lecture witnessed strong attendance from both students and faculty members. Prof. Feras El Hajji, Vice President of the University, and Prof. Emad Al-Fahmawee, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, welcomed the guest speaker. They expressed their gratitude and pride in the ongoing and fruitful collaboration between Applied Sciences University and Marmara University, along with its visiting faculty members.
The lecture explored the significance of Islamic art, the earliest mosques in Islam, and the evolution of architectural art throughout different Islamic eras.
This lecture was part of the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility program for student and academic mobility. It also falls within a series of activities organized by the Office of International Relations at Applied Sciences University to strengthen academic collaboration with international universities, aiming to mobility teaching and research expertise and deepen relations between the university and academic institutions worldwide.
