Applied Science University Participates in the Second International Conference on Art and Design in Jeddah

Professor Emad Al-Fahmawee Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design took part in the Second International Conference on Art and Design, held in Jeddah from November 15 to 17, 2024. He participated in a panel discussion titled “The Future of Artificial Intelligence in Art and Design and Its Impact on Education.”

The discussion focused on the major changes artificial intelligence (AI) has brought to art and design, highlighting the need for educational institutions to keep up by updating curricula to include AI technologies. The session also explored how AI helps develop students' skills and enhances the learning process to meet the demands of the rapidly changing digital job.

Professor Al-Fahmawee emphasized the importance of integrating AI into educational programs to strike a balance between artistic creativity and modern technology. This integration he explained helps prepare a new generation capable of innovation and competitiveness in creativity and design.

The topic is crucial for academic institutions teaching art and design, as it serves as a foundation for future development strategies aligned with fast-paced digital advancements.

The conference also provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen cooperation between Arab universities and support efforts to modernize academic education. It highlighted the importance of blending artistic creativity with modern technology. With participants from numerous Arab universities representing various disciplines, the event was an essential platform for sharing ideas and experiences.
