The Faculty of Art and Design at the Applied Science Private University (ASU) held the 8th Interior Design Forum under the patronage of the university president, Prof. Dr. Samiha Jarrah. The forum was titled "Challenges of Interior Design in Heritage Buildings" and was attended by representatives from Jordanian public and private universities, companies, and specialists in the field of heritage building rehabilitation.
These practical forums are held in various venues to serve the local community and contribute to its development. They also emphasize the importance of effective partnership with community institutions by integrating knowledge with experience and the desire to work creatively. Prof. Dr. Emad Al-Fahmawee, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, delivered a speech in which he stressed the need to revive heritage buildings by rehabilitating and utilizing them effectively to serve the community and activate the role of the interior designer in this process.
The forum included a dialogue session moderated by Lec. Oraib Al-Sbaihi with stakeholders in the field of heritage building rehabilitation. The session addressed several important topics related to the maintenance and rehabilitation of heritage buildings.
As part of the forum's activities, an art exhibition was opened in the Faculty of Art and Design's gallery. The exhibition showcased the work of participants from the university's Faculty of Art and Design, students from public and private universities, companies, and specialists.
