The Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies was established by decision of the Board of Trustees in early January 1998 under article 9/2 of the University's Rules of Procedure No. 1 of 1993 based on the Law of Private Universities No. 19 of 1989 due to the importance of scientific research in Developing faculty skills and serving researchers.
The Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies offers incentives for faculty members, which has reflected the university's achievements in the field of scientific research and increased the number of research published in scientific journals specializing in Scopus databases of, SCI, SSCI, SCI, and AHCI, where the Applied Science Private University is the most widely published in the SCOPS database.
The Deanship of Scientific Research seeks to keep up with the requirements of the labor market and in coordination with the deans at the university to seek students to complete the master's and PHD degrees in prestigious international universities among the top 500 according to the classification of QS, Shanghai, and TIMES.
In the field of graduate studies, seven postgraduate programs in accounting, finance and risk management, marketing, pharmaceutical sciences, nursing, computer science, visual and audio translation and media have been launched. The University is seeking joint programs with prestigious international universities in the field of graduate studies and specialized professional diplomas.
The Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies has adopted instructions for faculty members regarding promotions and transfers from one class to another. It should be noted that it has recently adopted instructions for a full-time degree to allow faculty members to conduct joint scientific research with international universities or prestigious research centers.
