Healthy ecosystems protect the planet and sustain livelihoods. Forests and rangelands sustain a range of industries, generate jobs and income and act as a source of food, medicine and fuel for more than a billion people.

• ASU provides sustainable management of land for agriculture and tourism (educational outreach) through offer educational program/outreach for local or national communities on sustainable management of land for agriculture and tourism.
• ASU has a policy on reducing plastic waste on campus “The University adheres to strict procedures related to controlling the use of hazardous materials such as plastic and other similar materials, as procurement and purchase department is not allowed to buy any plastic materials unless there is no other alternative, in order to prevent and mitigate any possible effects on public health, also on the surrounding environment (inside and outside the university).
