ASU aims to end poverty in all its forms worldwide. It focuses on eradicating extreme poverty, ensuring equal access to resources, social protection systems, and basic services for all. The goal underscores the importance of addressing the multidimensional aspects of poverty, including income, access to education, healthcare, and social inclusion. Achieving SDG 1 involves implementing sustainable policies, promoting economic opportunities, and building resilience among vulnerable populations to uplift people from poverty and create a more equitable global society.
- The ASPU Pharmacy School Bag

“The ASPU Pharmacy School Bag” is an annual initiative organized by the Community Service Committee at the faculty of pharmacy in several governorates and regions Jordan.
Rusayfa was the station this year, in cooperation with the Rusayfa Center for Community Services, where our pharmacy students prepared school bags with the necessary stationery and presented them to the students at the beginning of the new academic year.
It is worth noting that these activities and initiatives aim to achieve the goals and vision of the university and the faculty from the standpoint of societal and religious responsibility.
A number of faculty students and faculty members participated, including Ms. Manal Ayyash and Ms. Rahma Al-Odwan.
We also extend our thanks to the management of the Rusaifeh Center for cooperating with us and providing the faculty with a commemorative plaque that was handed over to the faculty dean, Dr. Samar Thiab, to add to the faculty’s attainments in community service.
- "The School Bag" annual activity
The Community Service Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy carried out its annual activity titled "The School Bag", which aims to secure the needs of children of low income families and orphans with school bags filled wirh the necessary stationery, coinciding with the start of the new academic year 2023-2024. Wishing all a year full of success and wellbeing for all our students
The distribution included a number of areas in the capital, Amman, namely Al-Baqaa, Al-Nathif, Al-Joufah, and Al-Wehdat.
Ninety-five school bags were distributed.
