The Applied Science Private University conducts regular educational outreach activities in the local community and the local schools. On the other hand, the university continued to organize many of the students’ run volunteer educational activities that also targeted local schools and the public. Some of the main activities conducted under this goal are :
1. The annual English Language teaching program carried under the Katie’s Readers initiative. This program is a two-month program that targets disadvantaged schools and students. The program is organized by the faculty of Arts and Humanities and run by volunteer students and faculty members.
2. The university hosts annually two events that target school students: Young Translator Contest, and the English Language Olympia. The university provides facilities such as the conferencing auditorium and the sports hall free of charge.
3. Awareness day by the faculty of Nursing targeting school students. The day included lectures and demonstrations about dental and oral hygiene, smoking and its harmful effects on the individual and society.
4. The Faculty of Arts & Design, through its lecturers, always strives to organize and provide voluntary outreach lectures for local schools and communities in efforts to help and increase public awareness about the importance of arts and design. There is no fixed annual dates for these lectures and initiatives, but the faculty tries to spread them across the entire academic year.
