The university is always interested in organizing various and diverse events and activities for its students and for students of other universities and schools, and these competitions take place all over the world.
1. Applied University teams qualify for the finals of the global competition in cybersecurity BlackHat MENA...
The Colleges of Information Technology, Engineering and Technology participated in several teams with hundreds of teams in the global qualifying competition in BlackHat cybersecurity, and 5 teams were able to qualify for the finals of this competition, which will be held from the 14-16 of next November in the city of Riyadh in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
2. The University held the closing ceremony of the Applied Media Competition in its third edition under the patronage of His Excellency Engineer Sakhr Dudin, former Minister of Information and Chairman of the Competition Judging Committee, and in the presence of members of the committee, journalist Hussein Harb and journalist Mays Al Nobani, in addition to representatives of public and private Jordanian universities and representatives of local media.
This competition is held annually for high school students, in addition to Jordanian university students who have a talent for media. More than 130 male and female students participated in it, of whom 80 male and female students qualified for the second stage. Three winners were chosen at the level of Jordanian universities, in addition to 10 winners at the university level. At the school level, the participants were evaluated and the winners were selected by the jury based on several criteria: self-confidence, professional presence, quality of content, language integrity, and self-expression ability.
The ceremony concluded with the announcement of the results of the competition and the distribution of prizes to the winners, which represented full and partial scholarships to study the digital media specialty in applied sciences for the winning students at the school level, and cash prizes for the winning students at the Jordanian university level, in addition to honoring the jury in appreciation of their efforts, and honoring the representatives of the various media outlets who attended the ceremony. To support young media talents.
