A. Thesis track:
This option requires (24) credit hours of course work and a thesis equivalent to (9) credit hours.
B. Non-thesis track: (Comprehensive Exam Option):
This option requires (33) credit hours of course work and a successful completion of a comprehensive examination administered by the department.
A. Non-thesis track (Comprehensive Exam Option):
(24) credit hours core courses listed in Table A.
(9) credit hours elective courses listed in Table B. The student can take not more than (3) credit hours from other graduate programs related to his or her study plan upon approval of the committee of graduate studies in the department and the college of pharmacy.
Passing the Comprehensive Exam: zero credit hour.
B. Thesis track:
(15) credit hours core courses shown in Table C.
(9) credit hour elective courses of level shown in Table D. The student can take not more than (3) credit hours from other graduate programs related to his or her study plan upon approval of the committee of graduate studies in the department and the college of pharmacy.
A comprehensive thesis embodies the results of an experimental investigation performed by the student with the guidance of his or her major advisor. The thesis is equivalent to (9) credit hours.
