On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the Pharmacy Practice Group, in collaboration with the Alumni Follow-up Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Applied Science Private University, held an interactive meeting titled:
(Practicing the profession of pharmacy in the United States of America)
Where Dr. Mohamed Ziadat explained the requirements to be a licensed pharmacist in the US, discussing what needs be done before traveling to the US such as: documents preparation, the required total points and the choice of which state for the equivalency application, and the necessary exams (such as the FPGEE, TOEFL and NAPLEX) need to be completed for the equivalence were reviewed. An interactive dialogue took place between the students and the lecturer to clarify many points exploiting his personal experience to be a licensed pharmacist in the US. This dialogue left a positive impact and satisfaction on our students, especially after answering many of their questions. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Samar Thiab, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Laith Al-Shdifat, Head of the Pharmacy Practice Group, thanked Dr. Muhammad Ziadat, who is one of our graduates at the University of Applied Sciences and has been working in many pharmacy chains and hospitals in the US. It is noteworthy that this meeting is part of the activities and workshops organized by the Pharmacy Practice Group as part of its plan to train students with the aim of preparing them for the labor market after graduation. The group will seek to host several graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Applied Sciences who are spread across various pharmaceutical sectors to share their experiences and knowledge with current students at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
