The Pharmaceutical Practice Group at the faculty of Pharmacy organized a discussion session on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, titled 'Sharing Experiences from Training in the Medical Promotion Sector with Al-Ostoora Medicine Warehouse.' The session included an open dialogue among the attendees and a number of students selected for this experience about their feelings during the interview and training at the warehouse, as well as the field visits to pharmacies to promote the products of Al-Ostoora Medicine Warehouse and its impact on developing their skills.
Dr. Tareq Awad, the general manager of Al-Ostoora Medicine Warehouse and an alumnus of the faculty of Pharmacy at the Applied Science Private University, answered students' inquiries about the advantages and challenges of working in the pharmaceutical advertising sector, as well as the points that employers focus on when selecting candidates for this field and the career development path within it. He also shared some important advice for preparing to enter the job market.
At the end of the session, representatives from the warehouse honored the students who were selected for this initiative, which lasted for three months. Dr. Samar Thiab, Dean of the faculty of Pharmacy, also honored Al-Ostoora Warehouse and those involved in this initiative, expressing her welcome and appreciation for the efforts of various pharmaceutical institutions in developing and preparing our students for the job market."
