Under the patronage of the Nursing Faculty Dean, Dr. Ghadeer Al-Dweik, an educational day for Health Promotion, and Injuries and Diseases Prevention was organized at the ASU activities 360 building. Students shared information about Health Promotion issues relevant to Body Mass Index Screening with recommended strategies to maintain it normal, seasonal diseases and their management with proper nutrition, in addition to the representation of the nutritional pyramid, blood sugar and blood pressure screening, risks of excessive sugar consumption, visual acuity screening, and lung parameters screening showing hazards and risks of smoking.
In addition, First Aid and CPR principles were demonstrated to visitors of the event, Gerontological issues were also highlighted as risk for falls screening and prevention, Alzheimer disease and its prevention.
