Baccalaureate Program

The Faculty of Nursing at the Applied Sciences Private University offers a baccalaureate degree 4-year program in nursing. The student has to complete 135 credit hours, of these 24 credit hours are university requirements (i.e. 15 credit hours are obligatory and 9 hours are electives). The non-nursing credit are 25 credit hours, nursing credits are 83 credit hours (i.e. 79 obligatory and 4 electives for the specialization), and 3 credit hours for a free course.

The program has eight terms over four academic years each term/ semester covers 16 weeks. After completing the baccalaureate program the student is qualified to enroll in higher postgraduate studies and/or work in the local, regional and international market.

Students with a nursing two-year diploma with a higher than 68% in comprehensive exam, and would like to pursue to get a baccalaureate's degree, they can apply for admission to the university baccalaureate program for bridging directly. A maximum 50% of their study plan credits in two-year diploma can be transferred into the baccalaureate program (i.e. 67 credit hours). In case of a student with a nursing two-year diploma with a grade less than 68% in comprehensive exam or has two-year diploma in paramedics with a grade higher than 68% in comprehensive exam, only 30 credit hours will be transferred for bridging to the baccalaureate program.
