Applied Science Private University signs a memorandum of understanding with the Independent Election Commission

​The Applied Science Private University and the Independent Electoral Commission signed at the Commission's headquarters a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the aim of providing an appropriate framework for achieving cooperation between the two parties in the academic and scientific fields. The goal is to implement and develop academic programs and joint training activities aimed at enhancing awareness among the students of the Applied Science Private University about the tasks and work carried out by the Independent Election Commission, including the parliamentary and municipal elections administration, and working to exchange academic and research expertise specialized in elections and political parties. ​

The memorandum was signed by the president of the university, Prof. Iman Bashiti, and the representative of the Commission, His Excellency Dr. Zuhair Abu Fares, in the presence of Mr. Amer Al-Husseini and Dr. Abeer Dababneh of the Commission. In addition, the university has requested the presence of the assistant president for legal affairs, Dr. Hamza Abu Issa, the dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dr. Hadeel Al-Saad, the Department of Political Science's head, Dr. Bashar Awad Al-Tarawneh, Prof. Iman Freihat, a faculty member in the department, the Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office, Prof. Dr. Thaer Qaddoumi, and the Director of the Public Relations and Media Department, Mr. Yazid Al-Hadid.
