Amman – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Adel Al-Tweissi visited the Neurosurgery Lab at ASU.
In the presence of ASU President Professor Mahfouz Jouda, Al-Tweissi valued the modern equipment, in particular, and the efforts exerted by ASU and Ibn Al-Haytham Hospital to improve the medical education service in Jordan, in general.
He also toured the faculties of Pharmacy and Information Technology, visiting various facilities and labs.
The Neurosurgery Lab Director Dr. Ibrahim Sbeih said the microscopic anatomy laboratories became an integral of continuous medical education in scientifically developed countries. According to Sbeih, The facility is the first of its kind in the Middle East, located in ASU’s Faculty of Nursing on 850m2, containing 8 anatomy stations equipped with up-to-date microscopes and surgery tools.
Among the services provided is relevant doctor training on anatomy and surgical operations in brain, nerves, spine, eye, nose, ear, throat, endoscopes, bone, face and jaws, general surgery, etc., in addition to training Medical, Dentistry and Nursing students, Sbeih added.
