Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design Dr. Issam Abu-Awad received a delegation of Bloomsbury Publishing plc (Jabal Amman). The meeting aimed at cooperation in the field of recent publications in Architecture, Art and Design.
As Abu-Awad welcomed the guests, he stressed ASU’s attention to FAD and its curricula. All the current publications need to be designed and prepared according to premium quality standards, which would reflect FAD’s distinguished level. He also referred to the future plans to be executed in the academic year 2017-2018, considered as a quantum leap in the educational progress and congruent with the alumni’s aspirations.
Bloomsbury Representative John Edwards said that the company aimed at building bridges of cooperation with ASU due to its Arab and international renown.
Among the books there those which address Art, Design, Digital Design and Fashion Design which could enrich the Arab library with its significant lack of relevant references.
The delegation also looked at the Graphic and Interior Design students’ works and graduation projects, impressed by the students’ proficiency and experience.
It is noteworthy that FAD annually graduates dozens of creative students who have a major impact on the reality of their fields. Furthermore, it has student facilities within a family educational environment, such as the Reading Corner, studios and exhibition for the students’ works.
