Under the auspices of Vice-head of the Trustees Board Dr. Haytham Abdullah Abu-Khadeeja and attended by President Professor Mahfouz Jouda, ASU launched the Center for Business Incubator Creativity.
The new body is aimed at creating distinguished success stories for ASU students and patronizing the youth’s innovative and pioneer ideas, making them real projects which boost the economy and contribute to sustainable development.
The welcoming speech was delivered by Vice-president and Director of the Center for Business Incubator Creativity Professor Sameeha Jarrah, highlighting ASU’s role as a major supporter of the youth’s capabilities and innovations to keep their advancement. Dreams shall come true and future leaders shall be built to make decisions securing the flourish of different communities and countries.
Jouda said that, as a leader, ASU should discover and patronize creative people by founding an appropriate entrepreneurship environment. In addition, attention shall be paid to relevant regulations, protection of intellectual property, patent and setting Jordan as a regional and international hub for innovation based on added value, awareness raising and capacity building.
In his turn, Abu-Khadeeja said that launching the center was actually another success for ASU since its foundation and another indication of its progress to distinction.
Business incubators play a vital role in promoting innovation by backing new projects to achieve success, he added.
Dr. Gheith Al-Abdullah from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences gave a presentation to ASU students on the new institute. He began by defining business incubators and then elaborated on the application ways as well as chances of adoption and funding by the center to innovators.
The activity was concluded by a true, inspiring story of an ASU graduate. Artist, trainer and blogger Mohammad Al-Qaq made his own accomplishment and became a model for many young people who aim to make achievement by themselves.
The master of ceremonies was Dr. Zakariyya Al-Mubasher from the Faculty of Arts, and the event was attended by ASU’s deans of faculties, faculty members and students.
