     Committee Roles

  • Contribute to setting study plans for obtaining special accreditation for Faculty majors from the Accreditation Commission for Higher Education Institutions.
  • Follow up the implementation of quality control procedures according to the criteria set by the accreditation body.
  • Follow up the implementation of quality control standards that are consistent with the requirements of the ISO certificate.
  • Supervising the preparation of the self-evaluation file to obtain accreditation of the Higher Education Institutions Accreditation Authority.
  • Preparing an evaluation of the quality procedures in the Faculty's various fields, such as equivalence of materials, exams, and student issues.
  • Follow-up and evaluation of commitment to Faculty goals, procedures and indicators for achieving them.
  • Contacting the university's quality office for a consultation.
  • Preparing and developing the Faculty's strategic plans.
  • Collecting data and statistics about the Faculty and its departments in favor of strategic plans.

     Committee Roles

  • Communicating with scientific and practical competencies in the local community institutions and faculty members in topics and issues directly related to their various specializations.
  • Highlighting the Faculty's achievements at all levels to publicize the university and the Faculty.
  • Fixing appointments and announcing in advance all activities and meetings organized by the Faculty and designing all publicity and advertising materials related to them.
  • Establishing a communication link between the Faculty and its counterparts from other universities and local community institutions.
  • Coordination with the Student Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy regarding student activities within the Faculty, scientific competitions and a program of scientific and cultural lectures within the Faculty.
  • Follow-up to the university's Facebook account and the advertising, cultural and scientific material presented in it.
  • Follow up on the design of certificates and shields for honouring purposes.
  • Follow up on paper and electronic advertisements on the displays.
  • Follow-up on what is displayed on the Faculty website through the website committee.
  • Appointment of a scientific committee and a logistical committee for conferences, and the distribution of tasks.

·         Study the summaries of the submitted research and choose the most appropriate ones to display in conferences in cooperation with the Scientific Research and Graduate Studies Committee.

     Committee Roles

  • Cooperate with the provision department of the university library to provide the books and periodicals needed by researchers and scholars at the university.
  • Cooperating with publishing houses in Jordan to provide the Library Committee with lists of the most recent published books.
  • Coordination with the Faculty and administrative members of the Faculty to provide the books and periodicals they need in the library.
  • Selecting what the committee members deem necessary from the lists of books that arrive from the printing and publishing houses to provide the library with them.

·         Collaborating with teachers of the "Introduction to Library Science" course material, to introduce students to the library sections and the method of classification and indexing applied in the library, and the sources that are not loaned (References Hall), and to explain how to borrow, and request the library department heads to clarify the tasks of their departments for students when students visit the library. These visits are programmed to fit in with the vocabulary of the course.

  • Determine the penalties for disciplinary violations for the students mentioned in the disciplinary instructions to correct their behaviour and ensure their adherence to the university's laws, regulations and instructions in order to achieve the goals of the educational process and the public interest.

  • Study applicants' requests to fill vacancies in the Faculty and indicate the availability of the required conditions therein.
  • The applicants are ranked in descending order according to their priority, between the base and alternative applications in light of the approved criteria.
  • Study the requests of applicants for transfer or promotion from faculty members and indicate the extent to which the conditions apply to them.

·         Provide appropriate recommendations regarding appointment and promotion applicants to the Dean in preparation for submission to the Faculty Board.

  • Checking the preparation of the exam schedules and announcing them on the notice board and the display in the Faculty before a sufficient period for students and faculty members.
  • Follow-up schedules of observations in the Faculty departments to determine the departments need additional observers.
  • Ensure that the test halls are valid within sufficient time.
  • Check the conduct of exams in the halls at the time of exams.
  • Document any useful ideas to improve the level of exams by endorsing those ideas in the minutes of meetings, then submit them to the Dean of the Faculty.

  • Developing the website of the Faculty and academic departments in Arabic and English.
  • Collecting and reviewing website content and coordinating with the Faculty dean and department heads to develop the site and update the content.

13. Laboratories Committee

  • Studying the laboratory needs of the supervisors and technicians required to organize and equip the laboratories.
  • Inventory of laboratory contents of devices and equipment.
  • Studying the Faculty's needs for laboratories, equipment, and materials necessary for them and ensuring the readiness of educational laboratories.
  • Ensure that there is periodic maintenance of laboratories, and replace damaged ones, especially at the end of each semester.
  • Ensure the general safety requirements in the laboratories.
  • Collect and archive (manual) coordinators for each laboratory after approval.
  • Follow-up to the supervision of the supervisors in the laboratories and exams, and provide feedback to the department head.
  • Preparing department orders of chemicals, glassware and tools and submitting them to the Supplies Department.

     Committee Roles

·         Enhancing communication between the Faculty and its graduates by providing all the necessary capabilities and energies for that, and linking the Faculty and the labour market with an integrated system of information that provides continuous support and system development for graduates.

·         Create a database and information about the Faculty graduates and the sectors related to the Faculty's specializations and programs.

·         Communicating with the community institutions to coordinate with them regarding employment and training issues for graduates.

·         Evaluating the level of Faculty graduates after joining the labour market and determining the degree of satisfaction of civil society institutions with the quality of Faculty graduates.

  • Spreading a culture of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty members of the Faculty to support the university's transformation into an innovative entrepreneurial university.
  • Helping entrepreneurial ideas develop their ideas so that they can be presented in a comprehensive and organized manner.
  • Providing advice, advice and guidance to enhance the completion of pilot projects within the available time and cost.

     Committee Roles

  • Implement university administration policies and directives related to public safety matters in general, and that includes preserving lives and property and spreading a public safety culture.
  • Supervising laboratories and their chemical materials.
  • Follow-up safety matters concerning the locations of gases and their uses in all faculty facilities, in coordination with the persons in charge.
  • Follow-up to the provision of public safety requirements in all faculty facilities, and the request and maintenance of necessary equipment related to public safety and fire extinguishers.
  • Follow up on the implementation of the commitment to public safety requirements in the various Faculty facilities and placement by writing a notice of violation for any person violating it and submitting it to the university administration to take the necessary measures.
  • Preparing, coordinating, and conducting all required training courses for workers in the fields of public safety and coordinating with specialists in different locations.
  • Coordination with the civil defence regularly to determine the places of danger in the Faculty's facilities and to clarify them and to develop plans to combat and respond to any emergency.

2) Holding several competitions at the college level

3) Media and educational expansion in social media.

4) Designing paper leaflets, brochures and ads on social media (Facebook and Snapchat).

5) Publish videos designed by students about the Faculty, its departments and activities, and publish videos that include interviews with graduate students in the job market.

6) Involving field training students in the process of guiding students and registering them (students of the English Language and Translation Department during the academic guidance period of 2019/2020 participated in the process of registering students, and their efforts were significant)

7) Hosting school students and giving them an overview of the various Faculty and University facilities.

8) Encouraging students to participate in volunteer work through some initiatives such as "Katie's Readers", which are concerned with community service and teaching in disadvantaged schools, which specifically receive Syrian refugees.

9) Holding receptions for new students periodically, enhancing the student's relationship with the department, and hosting public figures from the local community and school students.

10) Participate in initiatives for high school students such as Being On Top and Your Eyes on the Future, to introduce them to the majors and promote the Univesity's name.

• Preparing the plan of the Mental Psychosocial Counseling Committee for the academic year 2019/2020

In the implementation of university policies, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences seeks to:

• Awareness of the concept of mental and social health.

• Orientation for students who suffer from exceptional circumstances (adaptation problems, absenteeism, poor academic achievement).

• Holding lectures and workshops on the concept of mental health and psychotherapy.

• Transferring students with psychological and social problems to the psychosocial support office at the university level.  


20. Field Training Committee

  • Announcing for students who are eligible for training to register on the field training course.
  • Announcing for students about the date and location of the training.
  • Determining the names of students who registered on the field training course, according to the latest update from the Registration Department.
  • Meeting with students of field training before going to their sites to explain what is expected of students during their training or how they will be trained.
  • Conducting correspondence with the competent authorities related to training students and obtaining the necessary permits.
  • Students submit instructions for field training in a printed paper.
  • The students submit the official books that they need to be received from the authority supervising their training.
  • The appointment of an academic supervisor for each department to follow the affairs of students in training sites, especially students' attendance and end their training
  • Follow-up to receive reports from students on their training through the academic supervisor.
  • Constant communication with the academic supervisor and consultation on the effectiveness of the role the field supervisor plays in training students and taking notes to help what students need in order to make the training process a success.
  • Ensure that the training marks are monitored and sent to the registry.
  • Determining the criteria and mechanism for evaluating the trained students, each according to their specialization.
  • Examining the possibility of training students outside Jordan and studying each case separately when the student submits the training request and giving a decision in it.
