ASU’s Faculty of Engineering received about 20 of the 9th, 10th and 11th grade students from Lamees bint Amr School for girls during their tour on campus.
They were accompanied by the FE Dean and Director of the Renewable Energy Center Dr. Mohammad Al-Omari, Dr. Rania Al-Shatanawi, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Jawad and Dr. Ziad Al-Shbool to learn about FE’s facilities, labs and specializations. The lecturers also discussed a number of the students’ projects and gave them relevant tips.
The students also visited other ASU facilities, such as Square 360 to see the services provided to help in the learning process.
Finally, energy engineers Ahlam Al-Khawalda and Jihad Adeeb made a presentation on the Renewable Energy Center, ASU’s energy systems and their physical principles. The discussion covered Fixed Systems, Tracking Systems, Polycrystalline, Monocrystalline, Thin-film and CPV solar panels.
The students were so interested in the visit in order to know about ASU’s engineering specializations, labs, devices and renewable energy systems, the latter of which has become one of the most widespread issues around the globe.
