The students were accompanied by FIT Dean Dr. Mohammad Hijjawi and faculty members.
They were received by HSF Director Ms. Nazeeha Al-Shatarat, Head of the Social Development Directorate of East Amman Mr. Salama Al-Falaila and a number of HSF supervisors. Then, they were briefed on the HSF objectives, projects, major events, active committees and social and cultural programs, in addition to the appropriate procedures and mechanisms to deal with the sheltered children and families under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Development.
The initiative team took a tour in the HSF facilities to present available aid to the prominent institution and orphans. The aim was to support the children psychologically and socially according to the principles of showing mercy between the all the community segments, especially orphans. When we enter pleasure and peace into their hearts, we can become among Prophet Mohammad’s company, as his Hadith says: “The orphan’s breadwinner and I are like these in Paradise”, referring to the index and middle fingers.
Hijjawi said the campaign came in harmony with ASU’s approach in gathering, employing and guiding the youth capabilities towards societal charity action. The youth can definitely act, change and learn about their duty of progressing their homeland, he added.
